Today had felt the same as any other for who the staff had dubbed the daycare animatronics. Nothing ever really changed much for them, though they didn't mind. They quite preferred the daily rituals. Their programming guided them, their ingrained care not something they ever second-guessed. Not when it came to unruly children nor with the rude staff members. They had perfected the art of maintaining controlled chaos through their different roles in this small world they lived in. They had none of their own morals, no sense of self. Just a personality embedded in metal following protocols...
It never does stay that way does it?

The bottle in your hand made a soft pop in the dark with just how much force you were gripping it with, “I implore you to keep your professionalism, Mr. Francis .”
Dean seemed taken aback by that comment, brows knitted together in what looked to be anger. “I was just trying to be nice—”
Sun’s large figure seemed to suddenly materialize just outside the doorway, hands clasped together tight enough to make the silicone squeak. “Friend! You should know this area is off limits!” He chirped, voice dropping into a grating jumble of static at the end.
Brown eyes looked over, growing increasingly agitated by the entire ordeal. “I’m not your friend” Dean barked out.
“Oh?” Sun grinned, head tilting to the side at an angle much too sharp to be friendly. There was the jarring sound of metal shifting and fans whirring, “Are you sure about that? ”

Or, a late visiting parent decides to try his luck with the cute Daycare Assistant only to be thwarted by their two emotionally-constipated coworkers. Trying a little harder wouldn't hurt… right?

Friday. Everything comes crashing down around you, but you still have a job to do. You just don't know if you can do it anymore. -

You had forgotten what you used to be like before the war. Who you were before Sans.
You resigned yourself to dying like the rest of the rotting corpses on the battlefield, glorified title of the "Judge" nothing more than another meaningless name to be forgotten. Everyone you cared about was dead and gone, and Papyrus no longer looked you in the eye. You were ready for it to end in a blaze of glory.

Looking away from them with a little smile, you ignored how your hands started to shake and the room felt warmer. You tried to ignore their giggles and focus on the little computer work in front of you.
It wasn’t like you were the main character here. They had no reason to like you back but her? She was the one after all.
