Summary
Shen Qingqiu has absolutely no intention of ascending that day.
In fact, if anyone had asked him—which of course no one did, but when had the universe ever asked his opinion before throwing him headfirst into something much, much bigger than himself?—he would have said that his plan that afternoon consisted of exactly the opposite: stay alive, keep his disciples safe, and return to Qing Jing in time for dinner.

Summary
Anakin Falls on the battlefield, on a small dusty planet in the Mid Rim that’s largely unimportant in the grand scale of the war. His men are dying in scores around him, screaming, spilling their guts onto the pockmarked ground, and something that has been pulling tighter and tighter over the course of the war, over the course of his whole life—between one decapitated droid and the next, something snaps in his chest. He doesn't know it, but he's more than a year early.
Or: Anakin navigates the path from straight up not noticing, to denial, to buying a pair of ugly sunglasses to hide his unfortunate Darksider eye condition, to a number of Sith lords dying in uniquely creative ways. If he reaches acceptance, it just might save the galaxy.

Summary
After months of missing Wei Wuxian during his disappearance, Lan Wangji and Jiang Cheng come across a masked being that claims to have found his dying body and eaten him whole. Then, it pledges to do the same to anyone Jiang Cheng calls an enemy as part of the deal it had struck with Wei Wuxian, in return for eating him whole.
Despite Lan Wangji's misgivings, Jiang Cheng takes it up on the offer and the Sunshot Campaign gains a terrible ally. Lan Wangji just prays it'll be worth whatever happens.
