    “Rumi! Calm down!” Mira swallowed hard. She tried to be as gentle as she could while applying pressure to her back. She couldn’t even imagine how much it hurt. “We’re right here! Just try to breathe!”

    “We’re not going to leave your side!” The tears in Zoey’s eyes started to trail down her cheeks. She pressed her hand with a new towel up against her friend’s thigh first. “We’re right here! Just-” She cut herself off as she went to place her hand on Rumi’s arm. She froze with her facial expressions falling.

    Tears started to cascade down Rumi’s face as she watched Zoey’s eyes widen, her pupils dilate and her whole body pull back just slightly.

    The rapper’s gaze had fallen onto her exposed demon patterns.

    Rumi let out a long trembling breath followed by a harsh whine.

    She had to cover them up.

    Jinu's soul has long since lost its humanity. There is no kindness nor empathy that remains. Instead, there is hatred fueled by shame that he directs towards this generation of Hunters. So when he learns one of these Hunters is half demon, that raging hatred explodes. Exposed in the bathhouse, Rumi doesn't have a choice whether or not her friends get to see the patterns she hides.

    After her voice failed during the Golden Live Show practice, Rumi ran. What she didn't consider was Zoey and Mira following her. Them finding out she is a demon goes nothing like she thought it would.

    Now, Rumi's patterns won't stop spreading, and she can't deny the connection she feels to the honmoon. She also can't deny how weak it seems to be getting. Gwi-ma probably knows they were about to seal the honmoon for good and has something planned. Something big that has every cell in Rumi's body vibrating.

    If that wasn't enough, there's also this stupid fluttering in her stomach every time Zoey and Mira get close to her, which has been happening more and more since they saw her patterns.

    (I suck at summaries, bear with me.)

    After the lights go down and the honmoon is sealed, all should be good, right? Rumi has accepted herself, and everybody is on good terms, right?

    Wrong.

    Rumi hates herself for everything she put the girls through, and Celine's voice circles her mind whenever she closes her eyes. Can Zoey and Mira help Rumi accept that everything isn't her fault and accept herself, or will she be stuck in her self-loathing state forever?

    “You were right.” Mira said, keeping her eyes on the road as she navigated back out of the complex.

    “About what?” Rumi answered, looking at her confused.

    “She is really cute.”

    Rumi huffed, smiling and looking away. “Yeah, and thanks for saving that till after she got out of the car. I was convinced you were gonna say something.”

    “Aw, babe. I would NEVER mess with you flirting. Its adorable. Plus, I didn’t mind flirting with her too.” She smirked. “Did you see how NERVOUS she was. Poor thing."
