Apparently, that’s called fanfiction.
And for some reason, when her wonderful and amazing girlfriend Maya Fey finds out about her writing, she wants to join in. Before Franziska knows it, she’s now meeting up with Maya once a week…to talk about each other’s gay romantic stories of Phoenix Wright and Miles Edgeworth.
Surely, surely, life couldn’t get any more absurd than this, could it?

“Sure, whatever you want.” The promise of burgers has made Maya much more open.
“One, if you ever do want to talk to someone, let me know. I know we’re low on cash, but I will do anything to make sure you are okay, okay?”
Maya doesn’t love this type of talk from Nick, even if it comes from a good place. She remembers that he once ate a poisoned glass bottle for a woman that he loved, so she knows he means it when he says anything.
She bites her lip, but doesn’t press it. “Okay… What’s the second thing?”
“A lot of people helped you out at the trial.”
“I’ve already said thank you for that.”
“To me, yes. But not to Gumshoe or the others.”
“Is this coming from one of your parenting books? What is this, a gratitude world tour?”or
Maya Fey is forced to go on a gratitude world tour at the behest of Phoenix after her kidnapping, but perhaps it isn't as bad as she may expect.

"Are you okay?" Maya asks.
Franziska doesn't know how to admit that she isn't; that she hasn't been for years. She always guards her pain so closely, no matter how sweetly Maya assures her she can bear her soul without being afraid.
But maybe those gentle promises are finally starting to take root, or - more likely - her mind's addled by the hour of the night and the tiredness aching through her, because she can't will herself to overthink it any more than that. "No, I'm not," she admits, truthful. "I had a nightmare."

For the first time, Franziska isn't alone when her recurring nightmare of the DL-6 incident strikes. It doesn't go as bad as she expects it to.
