"It took him nearly dying for me to tell the man I love the truth," he says and he feels Jake's hand tense in his grip. "Don't make the same mistake as me, kid. Not when they might not make it back from this."

Summary
When Bradley was young, while he usually went to Maverick for almost everything (nightmares, needing comfort, etc), whenever the kid was sick, Maverick was always too worried about making sure Bradley was ok, or stressing out about how to make him feel better. He couldn’t help it. He hated when his kid was in pain.
Ice however always knew how to remain calm, and give the kid just what he needed while still providing comfort, making him the only person Bradley would want when he wasn’t feeling well. Apparently 15 years later, that hasn’t changed.

“That all?” Harry asks, grinning wickedly up at him and, to anybody that doesn’t know him all that well, it could’ve sounded like a dismissive comment. Peter knows Harry, though, and he smirks down at his boyfriend. His teasing, ruthless, absolutely drop dead gorgeous boyfriend.
Leaning down, his face hovering an inch above Harry’s and feeling his warm breath tickle his skin, Peter adds, “And this.” before dipping further to close that tantalising distance between them, his lips pressing to Harry’s in a not-so-innocent kiss.
When they finally pull apart Peter’s face is flushed red for two reasons.
But Harry is positively beaming, a joy and smugness radiating off of him that has Peter feeling light in the head. God, he loves this stupid idiot.
