sal has schizophrenia and the supernatural aspects of sally face is a delusion, hurt comfort because sally face shouldn’t have ended that way. This is hurt comfort sal is going to get treatment. He is going to be ok because schizophrenia is a manageable condition that many people live with
Sal also has Cotard’s delusion, a delusion where one thinks they are dead
