Summary
A mission brought Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan deep into the Outer Rim, where weapons of war were produced to attack republican frighters. Unfortunately, nothing went as planned and the explosion of a reactor caused chaos. In an attempt to protect his padawan, Qui-Gon tried to hide them but was hurt badly in the process. Far away from home, a medical station took them in for care until their eventual return. Obi-Wan, deeply shaken from his master's pain, took over the medical care. Tenday after tenday passed where they grew closer together until the point of no return.

Old wounds healed badly and neither Obi-Wan nor Qui-Gon knew how to properly handle it. Some problems got addressed while other important issues stood ignored, and one of them dealed better with it than the other.
