“Mike ,” she hisses , “shut up. Can’t you see Will’s about to tell us about the date he had with his boyfriend ? He is probably crying because they had a fight. Tell us, Will. It will be okay , I promise.”
“What ?” Mike yells. at the same time as Will gasps “You knew ?”
Mike turns his head so fast there’s an audible noise and looks at him , astonished , shocked - all the ways that he can think of to describe the way that he’s absolutely , utterly and completely flabbergasted.
Or : 5 times Will tries to go on a date and Mike ruins it by being there and 1 time Will realises the date is being ruined by his not being there
Ft : Mike Wheeler as the world's biggest and most jealous loser , Lucas Sinclair with an impeccable gaydar , Will Byers getting babes (but not caring about any of them) , Max Mayfield who's colluding with her boyfriend on something very suspicious and a Jane Hopper who doesn't understand why it's so hard to get those two boys to kiss.

He doesn’t have to justify it or ground it in reality, he just knows it to be true before he opens his eyes. Will.
“Why are you…” Mike trails off, his eyebrows draw together as he takes in the face hovering above his, “…me?” He genuinely is perplexed now. Not shocked. No, Mike thinks his ability to be shocked is probably zero at this point given the state of his world. But he’s definitely confused. The boy above him looks on in horror and disbelief. Although the face is certifiably, completely Mike’s face, the expressions and eyes are easily identifiable to Mike as belonging to Will Byers.
OR
Mike and Will get FreakyFriday-ed but with more angst and yearning. Post season 5 volume 1, with some artistic liberties with canon + a sprinkle of s5 v2 rewrite

Summary
It's the last summer for college after they spent their childhood quite literally saving the world. The Party are hunkered down in the Wheeler basement watching bad romance movies, a little bit buzzed on alcohol, discussing all their bad romance takes and choices.
As they watch said movies they realise that Will can't join in because he doesn't have any romantic experiences.
Max ropes the group into Operation Byers.
Mike has to watch Will get a makeover and practice flirting with other boys that are not him.
He must deal with his feelings as he tries to figure out how to find a way to finally confess the feelings that he is pretty sure have been there since the swings.
