Summary
After having a mind flayer tadpole placed in her skull, sorceress Viva Faintree must reluctantly use her powers to return to normal levels of being a hazard to others and achieve her ultimate goal: go home and be done with this. And if that pretty cleric gave her a kiss or two along the way, maybe that wouldn't be so bad.
This fic is an adaptation of Act I during my first playthrough including the various mistakes I made along the way and incorporating the backstory that I developed for my Tav as I went. Act I is complete and will post weekly.

She needs to get back to Baldur's Gate, but she also needs to get rid of the parasite inserted in her eye, otherwise she will turn into a Mind Flayer herself. But not every choice she makes are easy choices as she is a lone wanderer and cannot trust most people. For the sake of survival, she makes an unlikely ally with the drow Minthara Baenre.
