Summary
Pharma is on Messatine, feeling lonely and abandoned, when Tarn arrives in the dead of night with an offer he can't refuse. With Tarn's threats hanging over his head, Pharma tries to take matters into his own hands. Years later, the war is over and Ratchet is on Cybertron, trying to get their first new hospital up and running. Pharma agrees to be the head of surgery but Ratchet sees little of the mech he remembers. The new Pharma is paranoid, unpredictable, and definitely hiding something.
Or, in the words of my beta reader: Pharma deals with Tarn in the past and Ratchet deals with Pharma in the present.
This fic is only loosely connected to Lesser Evil and was written essentially as a stand-alone.

He finally flicked his optics up, pulling his attention away from the parts he was carefully stitching back together.
“I told you, I’d take a break when I was finished with this arm.”
“That’s not it. It’s that…” First Aid started and trailed away.
Ratchet cut his optics at him, not in the mood for this. Drift stepped in, as if to block First Aid from his view.
“First Aid thinks it’s time we woke him up,” Drift said. “He’s twisting himself up to ask.”
