Aggressively dismissing their protests with repetitive hand gestures, Steve stands from the camper-vans built in seats, speaking in the way he usually did when the kids were trying to put themselves in the line of fire. “Yes, it does. Out of everyone here, I’ve suffered the least.”
He allows for a pause, just in case anyone argues. They don’t.
In which Steve is adamantly against using Max as bait for Vecna after everything; going above and beyond to make sure she never has to live through that ever again.
Even if that means taking her place.

Summary
The events of the last few years of his life have left Steve Harrington a wreck. He feels as alone in life as he imagines he would in death. Things begin to change after hes rescued from a drunken stupor by sort-of-friend Eddie Munson.
Eddie is a soft dom at heart, and ends up unknowingly influencing Harrington to take better care of himself, do things he enjoys. Steve doesnt understand the calm and the peace he begins to feel around Eddie, or his apparent need to make Eddie proud.
When Eddie realizes the influence hes had on Steves life he battles with weather or not its right of him to continue treating his friend as a submissive in need of guidance. Eddie decides to lay it all out for Steve, and confesse his true feelings for him.
Or
Steve Harrington discovers he's a sub and ALSO in love with Eddie Munson after he helps get Steves life back to a happy, healthy space. The tags dont make sense now bc you have to wait for it.
