And Hinata already knew he wasn't any good at that, already dealt with his tongue feeling too big, with his tongue stumbling over every word when he got excited. It's not like Hinata can just not get excited, because he can't. Volleyball is one of his passions, something he feels deep within himself."

Summary
Denki was tired, limbs more akin to lead than to human flesh. He had watched his peers and their parents fall in love effortlessly, watch them smile as his mother's fingers claw over his shoulder and digs in, watch as she whispers "you are disgusting and will always be alone". He knows that she had ruined her soulmate, tore him apart after getting pregnant. He knew he didn't matter.
He wanted what everyone else had, those easy smiles and laughs, holding hands with small glances. He wants a soulmate but it is unreasonable to hope for one.

He wanted something he shouldn't have been able to get, someone that should have pretended he did not exist, someone that he might have broken. But Izuku smiled, Izuku held a gun. At the end of the day, Katsuki wonders why Izuku never killed him. But maybe he did.

Denki woke up- was it all a dream? The world whispers and mutters softly- the world gives gifts as it too notices how cruel people are. How could they be upset- how? Denki did not choose his life, he could not fight it. Yet... people take and the world begs Denki to not do it. Denki does not hear. Denki's fangs are poised, ready to strike. He is scared and he clings to Izuku- he clings to the one person who is not cruel.
