Summary
After an email to her boss/friend was leaked from her computer at Joja Corp, Madison was forced to leave the city behind and lay low for awhile.
Her grandfather's abandoned farm in Pelican Town was supposed to be her escape from the fast-paced corporate world, her new start in the country while things calmed down in the city.
She quickly learns that the sleepy little town in the valley holds many secrets, even more than herself. She should have known that you can never run from your problems...FanFic Playlist (Updated as chapters are added):

Summary
A different perspective on the usual "new farmer can't seem to help themselves falling for the broken town drunk" Shane/farmer story.
After moving to Stardew Valley and taking over your grandfather's old farm, you begin to settle into country life and get to know the locals. No matter how much you try to move on and forget your problems, though, the past still haunts you.
This is the one in which Shane isn't the problem.
