Summary
Angel knows that he’s the one making this weird. He’s fallen in love with his best friend, and now over analyzes every little interaction between them. Husk doesn’t return the feelings, and it’s very clear, so why would Angel even bring it up? He refuses to get hurt, so he deludes himself with fantasies and spends every possible second with Husk, willfully getting dragged deeper into the hellscape that is unrequited love.
Of course, Husk feels exactly the same way, and goes out of his way to prove it without actually saying anything, going so far as to give Angel his life back.

Summary
Eons ago, Alatus served a beautiful mistress who spoke saccharine and painted blood with her finger tips. Eons ago, Alatus had his wings chained to the earth and devoured dreams with those same finger tips gripping at his throat. But then, Morax arrived and Alatus was all that was left of his mistress, wings broken and mouth bleeding.
“It's quite unfortunate your mistress had you chained and bound to the earth,” the god whispers, thumb tracing the adeptus's cheekbones until they move to tug one of his long green tresses behind an ear daintily.
Morax smiles.“A pretty golden-winged bird such as yourself deserves to fly high up in the sky, Alatus,”
