Notes:
We all know about the Summer of Like, when Pete Wentz and Mikey Way spent pretty much all of the 2005 Warped Tour glued at the hip (literally and figuratively) but what about their bandmates? Specifically Patrick Stump and Ray Toro. How did they cope seeing the men that they liked getting close with another person? This is the Summer of Comfort for them (or how Ray and Patrick found each other while keeping away from the Peteky shenanigans).
TW: mentions of self-harm, eating disorders, depression, alcoholism, substance abuse. There are sexist and misogynistic jokes in this fic that fit with the times. Punk-rock and alt-rock was not very welcoming during these times, and this fic reflects some of that.
TW for those who need it, Bob is mentioned in this fic, but I made sure he was a SUPER minor character because he was touring with My Chem at this point.
