Chase Hollow is more than just bored during the blazing hot summer in Sugar Springs, Iowa. He's lonely, especially with his mother and closest cousin living one state over in Nebraska. Maybe, hopefully, something or someone new will come along to sweep him off into a brand new chapter of his life.
Nox Librin is anxious. With a cross-country trip with his siblings comes the excruciating guilt of leaving his manipulative and dying grandfather behind to take care of himself. But maybe, hopefully, this road trip and the people he meets along the way will lead him into a brand new chapter of his life.
Or: the road trip AU in which the gang learns to live life to its fullest.

If he saw Chase’s personality crack, just a bit. If he watched his boyfriend break apart, only a little, the same way Buddy had when he saw Chase with that prince, would it fit the pieces together like a jigsaw puzzle? Would he feel better? Would it make sense?
The guilt said no. Chase wasn't like that! Wasn’t selfish like Buddy. But jealousy, a stone skipping on water, a boulder crashing into a river, fought back. Its jaws opened wide over the guilt, snapping shut and trapping it there in its throat.
Or: Buddy gets jealous.

He wrapped his arms around Chase, squeezing gently, his head resting on his partner’s shoulder from behind. “Hmm… I’ve always liked ‘The Wizard of Oz.’ I find a lot of the characters relatable. I guess… it’s just been a childhood fantasy of mine, to leave the world behind and… escape? Kind of like how Dorothy does…”

Will most likely get back into it some day tho :)After the book world ends, Chase’s own world seems to begin anew.
A few days after the incident that will change Chase’s, Deacon’s, and Prunella’s lives for good, a strange book is found in the pile of stories Mrs. G gave to them. A mystery book. Having never ventured into a real-life escape room before, Chase and Deacon must find clues to lead them to something much bigger than themselves… something Buddy doesn’t want them to find.
Or: a Cinderella Boy season 1 continuation that is definitely not canon, but is fun to write regardless.
