The curse had been silent since Yuji had reclaimed his control over his body, but that was only from the perspective of an outside observer. There was no telling what Sukuna was up to while hidden in a place Choso’s ears couldn’t reach.

Summary
Throughout this trainwreck of a school trip, Shuuji has had far too many impossibilities proven real to him. First it was the existence of the kemonogami and their world; now he could add getting kicked back to the start of the week and turning into — sorry, swapping bodies with — his designated partner to the growing list. Perhaps he could also eventually add reversing this screwed-up situation and everyone making it home alive?
He wasn't holding his breath; he's pretty sure this world was out to spite him.

Kakashi palms a kunai, watching him warily. No one here seems like much of a threat, but there are way too many unknowns to take any chances. He lightens his tone when he speaks. "Ah, it seems I've gotten a bit lost. Mind telling me where we are?"
The soldier who'd initially shot fire at him raises a shaking hand, pointing at Kakashi. "I saw you. You bent both earth and air."
The crowd watches him with growing recognition. Murmurs turn to shouts, and to Kakashi's bemusement, a war cry starts echoing.
"The Avatar has returned!"
