That is, until jealousy and heartbreak send him spiraling down a road of no return.
He's been a beta all of his life, so why is his body reacting to Jean's alpha presence in a way that shouldn't be possible?Bookmarked by Greysont

“It is a romance?” Jean asks, cheeks heating up.
“Yes,” Cody nods. Their brows are furrowed – Jean’s wistful expression must not have been lost on them. “Do you like romance, Jean?”**

Summary
The energy in the room was electrified. It tended to happen with them so close and yet Jean felt excitement and anticipation rush through him. He couldn't argue he didn't like having Jeremy close to him like that. Jean wasn't touching him yet, but he would soon knowing how the last times went down. He always buried his hands elsewhere but once he tasted blood they were squeezing skin. Looking down at Jeremy's chest, he wondered how the other ever thought this was a good idea.
"We should do a hickey or two just to sell it."
"What?"
—
Something was wrong after Grayson bit him. Jean expected to die that day. He didn't expect to become one of the monsters he's always been afraid of. With no other way out and Jeremy eagerly offering up himself for Jean to feed from, Jean finds himself having to face not just his traumatic past but the newfound tension between him and his captain. Jean knows he is a horrible person when he first sinks his teeth into tanned skin. Because he likes it. Jeremy likes it. And there was no way for them to stop.

Summary
Midway through Jean’s fifth season playing for the Los Angeles Tectonics, Jeremy knows that Jean won’t be able to stay in the league much longer. With the continued strain on Jean’s body from playing professionally, as well as the old injuries from the Ravens, Jeremy knows retirement is Jean’s best option, and it’ll be easy enough to convince the Moriyamas to retain 80% of his salary instead of Jean’s. After all, he’ll be a Moreau soon. He has no idea what their lives will look like after that, but he’s ready to find out.
My ‘jerejean in the pros’ fic set from 2013-2015, following Jeremy’s career in Exy and Jean’s final year of playing professional Exy and the start of his retirement.

Summary
Jean does not know when the mark shows up for certain. What he knows is that during his freshman year in between the first horrible night and the next, the words JEAN MOREAU? JEREMY KNOX. show up on the back of his neck where only the others could see. Thirty minutes later, everyone knew.
“Yes?” Jean Moreau’s voice is hoarse, tinny through the phone, and his accent shortens the reply by a half-syllable, but it doesn’t matter. Because he is an idiot, Jeremy’s heart swoops into his stomach. Again. Like every other time he hears the word. He takes an embarrassingly long moment to collect himself, breathing out through his nose and ignoring the phantom tingling on the inside of his left thigh. It’s not happening.
__Or: the first words your soulmate ever says to you are inked somewhere on your body, if you're lucky. Against sense, this does not make things easier for Jean Moreau and Jeremy Knox.
