Summary
Alastor said he was capable of crying, and Lucifer had to see it at least once. He wanted to see Alastor shed genuine tears. It didn’t have to be from sadness — Lucifer wouldn’t want that, but he would like to see the tears. There were other ways to make one’s eyes water.
“I can make you cry.” He was sure of it. He might need to try different things, but he could do it. “Do not doubt my abilities, Bambi. I can work some tears out of you. I know it.”
Alastor quirked a brow at the confidence in Lucifer’s voice. “Oh will you now?” he asked with a chuckle, very clearly doubting his partner’s abilities. He was very aware that Lucifer was capable of a great many things, but it seemed like none of them involved emotionally manipulating Alastor into crying. “Well, I’d certainly like to see you try.”
He decided to throw in a little extra something. If they were making promises now, why not make it fun? “How about a fun little bet?” he offered.

Understanding people is something Alastor is not always skilled at. But while people can be challenging- their possessions are much easier to understand.
And so he collects. In his little nest of a bed in which he dwells, tucked into the corner of his room at the Hotel- that is where his collection lays. And because Charlie makes it a point to enforce the good manners of respecting one’s privacy- and likely because everyone is just a little scared of him- no one ever looks in his rooms. His collection is a secret kept only by himself.
It’s not a problem. He could stop any time, if he so wished.
But why would he stop when the taking is so much fun?
Or: In which Alastor is a creepy little fuck and steals trivial possessions of those he cares about. No one notices, until Lucifer does.
