It has all been leading up to this, the sleepless nights, the empty bottles of wine, stacks of sketches and drafts. All for one singular client. Kaveh wouldn't let himself let them down. It has to be perfect, more than perfect. But nothing was ever good enough for Kaveh, nothing that Kaveh himself did was ever good enough.

Kaveh has overworked himself to the point of exhaustion. With an ache in his heart that he just cant shake, and feelings that were once stored away bubbling to the surface, Kaveh learns to let himself be cared for, by none other than Alhaitham.

Summary
Down on his luck and in debt, Kaveh is brought to Alhaitham's manor to provide him with blood in exchange for more time to pay off his debt. Turns out that being bitten by a vampire feels damn good.
Kaveh leans in and squints to get a better look at Alhaitham’s eyes. With Kaveh being so near, Alhaitham seizes the opportunity to inhale deeply and take a good whiff of Kaveh’s scent. Taken aback, Kaveh leans away from him.
Alhaitham lets out a satisfied hum and shuts his eyes wistfully as he leans into the couch, “Well, would you like to get this over with then? I’m hungry.”
“I still don’t know what’s going on or what you want from me,” Kaveh crawls away down the length of the couch. Why does he have to look so handsome while he says these strange things?
“I don’t know why Dori doesn’t just tell people what they’re in for; I think she gets a kick out of watching them squirm. Look–” Alhaitham opens his mouth wide to show off his fanged canine teeth, “you may take a second to come to terms with the fact that vampires are, in fact, real, and you have one that is very politely waiting for you to be ready to be his meal. Peering into the mirror, Alhaitham found a pair of wide tourmaline eyes staring back at him - pools of aquamarine dotted red and gold at the slits, just like his original human pupils. And his body, a gradient of soft greys and whites, had been decorated with intricate black spots all throughout. Reminiscent of a snow leopard or a silver rishboland tiger, the speckles ran all the way down his sides to his hind legs, and inky, elegant lines curled around his face as if kohl had been painted into his very fur.
Alhaitham, by some curse or some miracle, had been turned into a cat.
