Jaskier is an omega, hiding and running from his terrible past on the open seas when he meets the crew of the Kaer Morhen, led by the infamous Captain Rivia, hired to drag him back to it. As an omega hunted by alphas, Jaskier feels he has two choices to get out of this: fuck or flee. Since they’re in the middle of the fucking ocean, he guesses that really only leaves the one choice. He prays he’s as persuasive as he brags he is.
