Summary
Something huge now stood directly in front of him, blocking any hope of escape.
He cast his gaze up, and up, and up.
Before him was easily the largest spider he had ever seen, each of its eight legs twice the length of his body and just as thick. Its abdomen was swollen and heavy, resting lightly on the cave floor—no doubt filled with eggs, just like the spiders that covered the walls.
And, where the thorax and head of the spider would normally be, was what appeared to be the top half of a human– though there were some features that were– off. Its eyes were closed, giant fangs bulging and visible even through the skin around his mouth. It had a mop of soft-looking blond hair, and the smooth, tanned skin of its bare chest contrasted prettily against the dark blue and gold of the rest of its body.
By all accounts, it was a very handsome-looking spider.

Summary
Shadow Milk Cookie’s has a detachable head. How did Pure Vanilla Cookie know this? Well, one early morning when he opened his closet to get dressed, there was his head on top of his robes. He felt his heart plummet down to his feet and felt a cold tingle in his shoulders. He slowly raised his hand to cradle his cheek; to both confirm that it was Shadow Milk’s head and that he was not actually dreaming.
“Shadow Milk?” Pure Vanilla asked quietly, feeling his cold dough against his hand.
Shadow Milk’s eyes were closed, and just as Pure Vanilla brushed his closed lid with his thumb did Pure Vanilla hear a large thump from behind him.
Pure Vanilla yelped loudly as arms wrapped around his waist, and suddenly Shadow Milk’s eyes (the ones in his face and hair) snapped open. He grinned mischievously up at him and crackled with cruel delight.
“Oh Nilly!” He exclaimed. “The look on your face is priceless!”

Lan QiRen counted, and then he counted again. Three. Three times now had a prominent Lan clan member eloped with their significant other. First his brother with his murder-bride, then his second nephew with the demonic gremlin, and now the older nephew with the angry grape man.
Disgraceful!
Lan would have to make sure that there wasn’t a fourth instance. The Lan clan was going to have a proper wedding to celebrate, damnit! That meant...He would have to make sure Lan JingYi, the last unattached full-blooded Lan, was properly courted and wedded—even if it were the last thing he did!
