"Who? Vecna? Does he need to die?" His mom stood like she was about to march over to Vecna and finish him off herself, but Will reached out blindly and grabbed her wrist. His eyes ached. El moved closer. If Will focused hard enough behind the sounds of his own pain, he could hear the children being freed in the background. He could hear his friends. He swore he heard Mike yell out Holly's name.
"No," he forced out behind gritted teeth. "I think I'll die too."

Will doesn’t sleep. Well, he does, but not peacefully. Thoughts and memories plague him night after night. It doesn’t help that he has to sleep in a cold basement, alone, in the dead of winter. December is colder than usual due to the Upside Down leaking into the ‘real’ world. And, Will really hates being cold.
