Johnny storm hates to see Peter blend into the shadows. Like he's comfortable with it, like someone made him small. The way he holds himself like he's curled up to himself, trying to protect his soft underbelly.
Johnny wants to unfurl him. He wants to trace the soft edges of his heart, and press him against his chest.

When Johnny made to set back against his pillows, he cringed in pain, his body protesting at the movement. He sucks in a sharp breath through his teeth, groaning in discomfort as no sensation, breathing, not breathing, resting, not resting, none of it made a difference.
“Where does it hurt?” Ben questions, watching with concern as Johnny tried to balance between careful, shallow breathing, and leaning back slowly against his pillows.
“Yes,” Johnny answered, his eyes squeezed closed as he tried not to think about the pain. His spine was apparently okay, but very, very bruised. That injury, combined with his cracked ribs, made existence feel pretty miserable right about now.Post the battle with Galactus, everyone is trying to heal, both physically and emotionally.
