Beomgyu’s head snapped toward him, startled. “What?”
“You shouldn’t go through this alone.”
“I’ve spent my ruts alone before. It’ll be fine,” Beomgyu said with a strained laugh, but even he heard the hollow ring in his voice. The air around him felt too thick, too warm like the walls were closing in.
Soobin didn’t laugh. Instead, he looked at him with quiet precision, voice low and steady. “But it’s different now, isn’t it?”
“You shouldn’t do this just because you think I can’t handle it,” Beomgyu snapped, sharper than he meant to. He didn’t want to be pitied. He didn’t want to be offered up a piece of someone else's love out of charity.
Soobin didn’t flinch. He remained calm, composed, the way a true alpha often did under pressure. “Yeonjun and I talked about this,” he said, evenly. “He would want to. Because he wants to. Simple as that.”
Or
Yeonjun, a newly presented omega, steps in to help Beomgyu through his rut despite being in a relationship with Soobin.

Taehyun had his heart broken for the first time on a Wednesday.
He and Soobin glanced at each other, “we’re fucked” written all over their faces, and suddenly Taehyun burst into laughter for the first time in weeks. His hyung did the same, laughing so hard his body tipped over and fell right into Taehyun’s laps, and the boy made no effort to push him away. He never realized just how much he had missed this. He stared at Soobin, sweet, kind, beautiful Soobin, and he didn’t see the man who broke his heart. That was just his hyung. The hyung he loved. The hyung that loved him.
Taehyun thought he was just laughing so hard tears were forming in his eyes, until one of them actually fell and landed on Soobin’s cheek.

Soobin closed his eyes, letting out a frustrated breath. So many what if's flying through his head. He told Yeonjun he'd watch him. He should have gotten up when too many people blocked his view. If he did, he would be there to protect him. To show that he wasn't someone just hanging with their friend. He had Soobin.
“Just forget it, Soobin,” Yeonjun mumbled.
Soobin opened his eyes in shock. “What? How can I just forget? I prom—”
“I don't want to talk about it anymore, Choi Soobin,” he snapped.
Yeonjun's hands balled up in his lap. “Just...forget it.”
Soobin opened his mouth to argue more, but he would rather not upset Yeonjun and everything he's dealing with. He comfortingly placed his hand on Yeonjun's.
“Okay,” Soobin conceded.
