Older, disillusioned Spider-Man starts to entertain thoughts about killing his enemies. To make sure he never acts on these thoughts, he turns to Deadpool and requests that if Spider-Man ever goes off the rails and kills someone, the mercenary stop him for good. Permanently. Deadpool isn’t thrilled.

Summary

By a stroke of luck, Peter meets Wade Wilson soon after, so he has practically won the bet already.

Peter must put in a good word for him, because Spidey’s icy heart thaws a little. Hence, it’s natural that Deadpool continues to seek Peter’s advice about the arachnid hero.
