Summary
He scrambles, thinking of anything he can say to make Aymeric come back and speak to him. In his lover’s place is a man constantly bombarded with an uphill battle of those that won’t listen.
The solution hits Estinien all at once. There is one thing Aymeric has always desired, and one thing that Estinien hasn’t been prepared to handle. Every day of his life before the Warrior of Light and Alphinaud ripped those eyes off of him was a test of control. To give that control to another was…impossible.
The answer is as simple as standing in front of the love of his life and getting on his knees.
When Estinien learns that Aymeric is “unwell” by several people, he races to Ishgard. There he finds an Aymeric who is hurt, depressed, and craving control after the constant battles of the Final Days. Estinien would do anything for Aymeric, even if it meant falling to his knees.
