Summary
Even after all that Shadow had done, even after he had almost destroyed the World Maria had loved so much, Shadow could not turn himself back in to the Scientists, could not let himself be used by them. Shadow did not think he would mind being destroyed, but it was the idea of being trapped again, of being put inside of a tube to never be released again that he could not face. He would never go back to GUN. But that brought him back to the only other scientist he knew.
It brought him back to Robotnik.
