By the time Midoriya Izuku turned nine, he had died eleven times.
His Quirk—designated Multiplicity—doesn’t simply clone him for a brief moment, creating a weak and fallible copy of the original. He wishes it were that simple.
No. Instead, it perfectly duplicates him, creating two identical Izukus.
Each Izuku is a complete, independent person with the same memories, the same body, the same will to live. And each can split again, as one turns to two, then four, then eight, and so on.
In theory, there could be infinite Midoriyas. A verifiable army of the exact same person. When one dies, his memories flood into the nearest survivor. It would have been endless—an uncountable tree of Midoriyas branching across the world.
In practice, the universe seems to hate that idea. The moment more than two exist, reality bends to correct the imbalance—accidents pile up, probability breaks, and one by one they die until only two remain.
Every time, an Izuku remembers each death like he lived through it.
Despite this, each iteration of Midoriya Izuku wants to be a hero.
