He doesn’t know how long he sits there, playing with his knife when suddenly he feels something crawl up his back. The instinct to jump up and start flailing to shake it off kicks in instantly and a second later Kinn is up on his legs. Whatever is on his back holds on pretty good to him and without thinking he smashes his back against the rock, a very unmanly yelp leaving his lips. He hears a crunching sound and the weird sensation disappears as the creature falls down.
Kinn looks down and sees a giant black insect that looks similar to a centipede, but with some kind of armor on its back. When the creature tries jumping back on him, he shrieks in fear, booting it. He’s on his second stomp when he hears a peal of laughter coming up from the rock formation closest to him. The sound shocks him so much that he just freezes with one foot on the creature as it wiggles under him, hissing loudly. When he looks over from where the laughter came from, he sees two silhouettes. Kinn’s only able to catch one glimpse since a second later whoever it is hides behind the rock.
