Summary
Scott had fed on villages before. Taken whole family lines down to bone and silence. What were thirteen mortals to him? A moment’s indulgence. A blink. A flicker in the dark.
But… they were interesting.
And that, perhaps more than anything, kept his teeth in his mouth.
He had lived centuries with humans falling to his feet, too afraid or too awed to resist. He had ruled. Commanded. Feasted. Now, stripped of his grandeur and watching these strange little souls bounce off each other in this broken village… he found something almost novel in the spectacle.
Their antics were absurd. Endearing. Human.
He was weak, yes. But not so desperate as to end the show early.Series

Summary
“The Red Hood has been good for Gotham,” Robin continued. “Crime in Park Row decreased by sixty one percent almost as soon as you showed up, and that’s even taking into account all the crime you commit. Drug overdoses have decreased by twenty two percent in adults and seventy nine percent in minors. Homeless minors are ninety two percent less likely to—”
“Kid,” Jason interrupted. “Enough statistics. What the hell is this about?”
Robin slowly lowered the tablet with his powerpoint presentation and looked up at Red Hood.
“You care about Gotham,” Robin summarised. “Gotham needs Batman. Batman is missing and so is Nightwing. We need you to fill in for Batman.”
“You want me to cover Batman’s patrols?” Jason clarified.
“No,” Robin said. “I want you to be Batman.”
Jason bluescreened.
(Or: Batman and Nightwing mysteriously disappear before Red Hood has even started antagonising them, Robin is desperate, Gotham needs Batman, and Red Hood is Batman-Shaped.)

Summary
So, it didn’t start out like this.
Alfred would scoff at the statement, about how Bruce was trying to justify the whole situation to himself. It had started out as a simple design, black everything with black outlines and black hood. It got a little more intense as the world went on, got wind of his ghost on the streets, and became scared of The Bat . So Bruce got a little more creative with it, Alfred and him had a good laugh over the name, the scare, and Alfred had a vicious streak of humor that he had passed onto his ward-
So now the suit had a visible bat-theme, an insignia to drape in the shadows and to paint across the streets of Gotham.
It only took a year into the whole charade of heroism for Bruce to overhear a conversation between some goons- some low level thug hired by the Riddler this week- about nothing at all pertaining to what the hell the Riddler was doing in the sewers but instead:
“ The Batman can fly, you know, I’ve seen his wings.”
--
A world where nobody has wings, but people think they do, and that changes everything.

Summary
Tim's probably done it the most, but all of his siblings, at some point or another, have ducked behind Jason for safety. Jason's not sure if it's because they trust him that much or if it's because he's usually heavily armed and willing to kill. But it keeps happening- and it's both helping his image and ruining it.
