Unfortunately she is met with a blade instead and nearly dies, her magic is suppressed by the properties of the dimeritium blade. Yen finds her clinging to life on the battlefield.

She knew, somewhere deep and dormant within the empty space and the knots of scar tissue that had been her womb, whether or not she wanted to, whether it was destiny or love, that she would give Yennefer of Vengerberg everything she had to give.
