Summary
The world was saved. The King was defeated. Everyone was finally free to live in peace.
Everyone except Avery.
He should have felt relieved, even happy, but all he could remember was Derek's final expression—the quiet sadness and acceptance in his eyes as he pushed Avery from the ledge and chose to sacrifice himself. Avery had lost someone precious, and there was no way to explain that grief to friends who had never even known Derek.
Back in his original world, Avery built a small grave for him. It wasn't much, but he couldn't bear the thought of Derek disappearing without a trace. He visited often, leaving flowers each time, as though the gesture could somehow keep Derek's memory alive.
Then, during one of his visits, something rustled among the trees. A strange groan followed. Avery looked up, expecting a zombie.
Instead, a familiar figure stepped into view, golden eyes fixed on him.
Avery's breath caught.
"...Derek?"

Summary
Four teenagers are born to live as experiments, created by those called the Admins. Each of them possess special abilities, and are deemed too dangerous to allow any interactions between each other. However after being set on a mission by the Admins of his facility, Spoke ends up becoming the bridge that brings them all together. With the quartet working together, they begin to plot their escape, and with time in the outside world, they begin to work out things about themself that they never could do in their facilities.
