“So, this belongs to you then” Cape man says, holding the unconscious naked toddler towards Tony.
Tony blinks, “excuse me?”
“The child. He’s Spider-man”.
Tony retracts Ironman’s helmet, and his eyes go wide as he takes a longer look at the toddler, that is now looking very familiar, “that’s not…that’s not possible… What did you do to him?!”
“It wasn’t me, he got in the way of spell that went wrong”.
“He’s…he’s…that…he’s tiny” Tony’s mind comes to a screeching halt. His 16 year old son…is now a toddler.
“I noticed” Cape man’s voice dripping with annoyance.
“You turned my so-spiderman into a toddler!” Tony growls at him, and it not for his tiny son in the man’s arms, he’d repulser blast the bastard.

Tony eyed Peter for a moment. He looked nervous, tense. Scared. His knee was bouncing rapidly and Tony caught sight of the kid’s fingers plucking at the edge of his hoodie beneath his folded arms. The mannerisms were familiar, so strangely familiar, though Tony couldn’t quite place why. He pondered it for a half a breath before stepping forward.
“So.” Tony stopped in front of Peter. “You're the Spider...ling. Crime-fighting Spider. You're Spider-Boy?”
“I’m S…” Peter looked away, exasperated. “Spider-Man.”
Confirmation. It wasn’t until Tony was back in his car with Happy that he even paused to ponder the familiarity of the kid in the apartment, the lingering thoughts in the back of his mind, the tiny voice wondering why it felt like he had met Peter before. There was something oddly recognizable about him. Speaking with Peter - watching him, listening to him - was gnawing at the back of his mind. It was like there was something he was forgetting, something that was so memorable and yet just out of reach.xXx
"Boss, I have the results from Mr. Parker's blood work. I've found a match in the system."
"A match to what, FRIDAY?"

Rhodey freezes mid-step and mid-sentence when he see’s Tony… or more accurately when he sees a kid sitting next to his friend.
…a kid that, when he and Tony look up at him entering the lab, looks freakishly like Tony did when he first met him back at MIT.
It may have been 30 years, give or take, since he met his best friend, but he’d never forget the first time that he met the skinny little kid that had a busted lip because he had mouthed off to one of the much older students.
He’d never forget that little face.
The face that he was suddenly seeing all over again…sat next to his best friend.

Peter wants to laugh at the joke, but he can’t. The anxiety inside him is just too much. “Did I make a mistake?” Peter asks. “And I want your honest opinion. Not one that just spares my feelings or something like that. Just-“ He takes another deep breath, hoping to calm his nerves down. It doesn’t help. Instead, he turns his head back to Tony, his eyes pleading. “Did I make a mistake?”
Tony doesn’t answer immediately, which feels like a very loud 'Yes, you made a very big mistake, who told you you’re smart, because that was downright stupid'. Peter tries to reason that it’s just a stupid voice in his head, making groundless accusations, but the longer his father is silent, the more nervous he gets.

This fic will be mostly focused on Tony and Peter's relationship as it grows in a post-Thanos world. Some Avengers will pop in and out of the storyline, but this will be more fluff-centric than action-packed.
