In the era of rising unrest in the King’s realm of Carnsworth, a young boy sees the light of the day, blissfully unaware of what life has to offer. “You’d want to?” Then, “sometimes I do that actually. Patches will get up on my bed and even that is too warm and crowded for me.”
George formed a frown on his face. “I don’t want to crowd you.”
Another pause. George could tell that Dream’s hand had covered his mouth.
Then, very fondly, Dream whispered, “you won’t. I promise you that you won’t.”
Somehow, close was not close enough.
