He swallows over a dry throat, prepares himself to speak, to say, yes, actually, I’ve been thinking about the curve of your waist for months, and I’ve been wondering how it’d feel like to run my tongue over your teeth, and I’ve gotten off to the thought of you for the past year, but Lando rattles on, undeterred and seemingly unaware of Oscar’s resolve.
“–You know, that I’m a bloke, hah. Duh. Yeah, um, anyway. So, if you were ever, keen on exploring that –”
Oscar can’t help it. He snorts. Lando’s just so – painfully Lando, even in the middle of suggesting they fuck.

Oscar shrugs the shoulder that’s not pressed up against the table. “Doesn’t matter.”
Lando leans forward, touches his forehead to Oscar’s. “Course it matters, mate. Matters to me, at least.” Oscar smiles. “Heard from Jon how much you tried to catch Charles. They should’ve –”
“Pitted me earlier, yeah,” Oscar makes a face, but his voice is flat, without bite. “Pace was there, too. Just too much –”
“Dirty air,” Lando completes, and they share a smile at this. “You could’ve been at the podium with me.”
He pictures it: Oscar’s toothy smile as he drenches him in champagne, his arm tight around his waist, sneaking a squeeze after their picture’s taken, Max’s knowing look as he laughs, the cheers from the crowd.
“Yeah,” Oscar sighs, wistfully. “1-2 next week, mm?”Series

Summary
There’s a beat of silence, and Lando just has to know, he needs to know, so he asks: “Do you remember anything?”
Oscar shakes his head slowly. He lifts a hand, then starts enumerating: “I remember the podium, debrief, hotel, taxi, club, Max, some horrible dancing, tequila –”
“That’s what I—,” Lando starts to say, relieved and disappointed at the same time, and then there’s a glint of something on Oscar’s hand, and instead he says, “fucking hell, what the fuck.”
Oscar splutters, his eyes darting around the room and across Lando’s body quickly in search of damage. “Wha—?”
“We’re both wearing rings,” and Lando’s head is spinning, but something tells him he’s right. “We’re in Vegas. We’re both wearing rings in Vegas, Oscar.”

Summary
He listens to Max ramble on and complain about the lag, and soon enough they’re playing. Lando ignores the chat and focuses on the mission. But then the guy next to him, his partner, takes a wrong turn and Lando says, without thinking, “On the right, Osca—Connor, on the right.”
And yeah, he knows how that’s going to go. Max is quiet, but he sees him subtly shake his head at him. Lando double checks that he’s not needed and turns around to find Oscar looking at him from the bed, mouth quirked up.
“Did you just –”
Lando nods, sheepish. It’s not like they’re a complete secret, even. They haven’t exactly been quiet about it. Their friends know, and the team, too. But –yeah, it’s not public-public, yet.

Summary
Lando gives up on listening to the table's bickering, too busy watching Oscar, who's too busy watching Charles. He spies the telltale signs: lines form between Oscar's brows for a brief moment – a flash of concentration immediately replaced with impassive eyes, pink cheeks and pinker ears.
He knows that face.
Oh God, Lando thinks to himself, watching Oscar tilt his head in rapt attention. Not again.
Or: Oscar loves to play cupid (poorly), Lando loves Oscar (apparently), and their friends are sick of watching (finally)

It’s the money.
Surely that’s why Lando is agreeing to the arrangement. Why else? An alpha rando Lando’s picked up from the dumpsters is going to spend his rut in Lando’s small and increasingly-claustrophobic studio apartment while Lando is prepping to compete in a sorta-important geoguessr prize tournament hosted by none other than Sunbolt on Twitch.
It’s the money, it’s gotta be. If Lando wasn’t miserably poor he would have turned Dots away. Dots could be a wanted criminal after all. He paints walls for fuck’s sake, and his family name is Italian.

Summary
It was the freshest bit of gossip the whole school had the minute Oscar Piastri enrolled. Everyone spoke about the son of a Death Eater attending Hogwarts.
Piastri is off-putting, yes. Eerily stoic at times and a growing nuisance to Lando when he bests him at duels in front of everyone. But does Lando think this kid is some evil and dangerous wizard? Frankly, he couldn’t care less about what this kid is.
He just needs to beat him next time they’re opponents.
OR
Lando and Oscar are rivals with a deep rooted hatred for each other, both vying to win a prestigious competition at Hogwarts. But the road to becoming a victor will be tricky as they become each other’s distraction and obsession.

Summary
Lando Norris, internationally famous rockstar, has three main priorities: drugs, avoiding eye contact, and pretending emotions don't exist.
To most, he's just flippant; a hot, young thing with messy habits. So what if he washes down breakfast with a shot of vodka? He's a rockstar, it practically comes with the territory of being too young and too famous.
But the reality of it is a lot more destructive.
Enter Oscar Piastri. Engineering student. Polite and boring to a fault. Really, he's nothing interesting.
Except, after one too many nights taken too far, Lando's manager hires Oscar as his chaperone.
Lando hates him immediately.
As the band's tour drags on, as the looming threat of FIA's album deadline becomes ever the more pressing, as Oscar gets dragged deeper into a strange world of glitz and grime, Lando begins to think that things might finally turn out fine.
Except things are never, ever fine with him.
