In the distance, she can hear that the countdown has begun. The crowd is chanting at high enough of a number for it not to be an immediate concern. And thank God for that, because everything else in the room is starting to fade to a blur to make room for Veronica. She practically sparkles, not just her outfit, but her entire demeanor. It’s like stars follow her around wherever she goes. Betty’s always been amazed by it.
“Of course.”
“How kind,” she giggles, somewhere between teasing and honest. “You’re my knight in shining armor.”

A girl wakes up in an unfamiliar house and somehow in the 1940s, she is unfortunatley trapped in the comic The Best of Archie Comics Starring Betty and Veronica Book 2 (the one with the red cover), this comic goes over stories from the years 1944 all the way to 2015. Follow along while this girl is trapped inside a betty and veronica archie comic. This work also has a more realistic depiction of what would happen if you were stuck in an archie comic as a side character.
If you have the comic follow along! It makes it much more immersive and it makes the story make more sense. If you don't have the comic but want to follow along anyway the chapter titles will be the the titles, comic number, and year of that specific comic that is being nodded to or mentioned in the story. -

Summary
Riverdale High's resident genius, Dilton Doily, is up to one of his inventions again. One that he hopes won't fall into the wrong hands or go awry like many of his other experiments in the past. Unfortunately, that is once again the case once reckless Reggie Mantle gets his hands on Dilton's new invention, which apparently, happens to be a shrinking submarine. And thanks to Reggie's poor judgment and lack of common sense, he gets Archie and Jughead involved in his little escapade once the ship shrinks to microscopic size with them in it. Things only get worse once the tiny ship ends up in Veronica's drink, leading to the boys getting swallowed whole by the lovely, rich, brunette. Now, Archie, Reggie and Jughead must find a way out of Veronica's body without getting digested.
