Ward leaned forward a little, like he was going to push away from the wall. “I'm sorry. I'll save you.” Then he was pushing back and taking Skye's arm carefully in his grasp. He looked her over once before looping it over his shoulder, like she needed help to walk. She didn't need it, but she let him guide her arm around his shoulders all the same. Ward had said he was a survivor, and so was she.
