Summary
"How old were you when you were married to Thor?" Jane asks one day.
Sigyn's feels her lips purse. "Five and ninety." She says shortly. Shortly, but not curtly. Jane had said 'married to' Thor, not 'married' Thor. It's a two-letter difference, but it makes all the difference in the world to Sigyn. It acknowledges that there was little choice involved.
This is why Jane is one of Sigyn's favourite Midgardians.
Jane pauses and visibly does the math. "You were sixteen?" Her voice is shrill.
"I suppose." Sigyn replies uncomfortably.
"Why the fuck did they get away with that?" Jane demands. "I thought Asgardians came of age at a hundred."
Sigyn bites her tongue until the blood comes. "They do."
"Then what-"
"The Allfather made an exception." Sigyn looks down at her hands. "I wish to speak of something else."
OR Amora runs away, and Odin forces Sigyn to marry Thor in her place. (This backfires horribly on him)

Summary
The System had been very clear: User 001 had transmigrated into Shang Qinghua’s character. For the past ten years, as he struggled against the limitations of his child body, Airplane had tried to reconcile himself with the fate that awaited him—the sect burning because of him, his neck snapped by a demon’s hand—and hoped desperately that he could change it somehow.
Except now… his fate seemed to have changed by itself?
“You have indeed been selected to join Xing Jiao Peak,” the teacher repeated. “Do you accept?”

Summary
Tar-Míriel, proactive in her efforts to prevent Sauron from seizing power in Númenor, poisons her cousin and reclaims her throne. Yet Sauron is not one to sit idly, and the consequences of her choices are further reaching than she may yet realize.
Or:
“Tar-Míriel?” he enquires with polite interest. “The wise queen of Númenor?”
“I am she. Though my claims to wisdom are few.”
He beams, sun-like and radiant, and then with an elegant movement he bows deeply. “I am Tar-Mairon,” He tells her earnestly. “I was once a servant to Aulë, wise queen, and for my dutiful work I have been chosen to aid your people."

Sauron can feign madness as a little treat:
She hears it from her ladies maid first.
"The wizard is mad. The wizard is not well.” Her words are hushed, lowered. They always are. There is little privacy.

Summary
I don’t think the mission was a failure. I don’t think Rocky’s dead — I can’t bring myself to believe that. They’re alive. Oh, Universe. Please say Rocky’s alive.
⇌
It’s been just over 600 (eridian) years since Rocky left. The crew was assumed dead long ago; the mission, declared a failure. But when a dim light reads on the petrovascopes, it’s all Adrian can do not to cry out in joy. The whole planet is carapace-deep in celebration…until they realise that — oh, goodness — that’s not the original ship; and they get word that everything has gone so, so terribly wrong.
