    Shadow is very particular about his coffee– he has to have it made just right or it won’t be good at all. That’s why he saves money and carefully crafts his own at home. But one morning when he’s running late to G.U.N., which never happens (he slept in after having a strange dream of swirling blue and green), he has to stop by a random coffee cabin on the way. He picked something off the seasonal menu that sounded acceptable.
    When he takes his first sip while riding away, he can’t help but whip his head around to look back at the small coffee shack to sketch it into his memory. No one ever made it the exact T that he did, they either used too much syrup, or drowned out the espresso with too much milk. He could taste the bitter flavor of the espresso and fragrant flavor of lavender, paired with the slight sweetness of honey to balance it out.
    It was the best thing he’d ever had.
    Who made his order again? A hedgehog like him- but blue, with striking green eyes. Why did that sound familiar?

     

    Or: Sonic owns a small coffee shack “Sonic’s Speedy Sips” and Shadow becomes a very loyal customer.

    Sonic pulls tinsel garlands, and, if he's remembering right- yes, matching packs of battery powered lights, and some holly garlands, and he lines them up on the sweaters, halved on each one, to form a heart.

    Sonic says, "There, like that."

    Shadow says, "God." And clasps his paws in front of his face. He looks like he's waiting for the punchline.

    Sucks to suck.

    Sonic says, "I said ugly, dude, it's awesome."

    Shadow takes a slow, deep breath.

    Then he sets his paws down, "Alright, fine, let's do this. How are we attaching it?"

    他还是个男人，也是个女人，简单来说他还在探索自己的性别认知，也可以用"性别流动者"来官方定义（“你会不会突然有一天宣布自己的性别是冰箱”索尼克自以为很聪明地提问，夏特说我做的第一件事会是把你关进来狠狠夹你的手指一百下）当然除此之外他还有很多身份，绩点全优的学生干部，取名很中二的暗黑摩托持有者，南极企鹅的云领养者（他叫它企鹅而且每天都会在手机查看它的行动轨迹）咖啡主理人，以及他发小（或者幼驯染，或者青梅竹马，或者按照夏特自己的定义来说就是长期利益互惠稳定互助关系对象，又或者是他手机置顶备注smelly和一颗小小爱心的联系人）的男朋友，女朋友。

    总而言之，夏特对自己迄今为止的人生还算满意。唯一不满意的地方就是他男朋友最近无中生有并且无关紧要的烦恼。

    Sonic sticks his paw out, palm up. Shadow dumps something small and light-weight into his palm, and switches to dusting nonexistent dust off of his skirt.

    Sonic looks at it.

    It's a small, plastic remote, in a pleasant pink color, he flips it, notes the battery compartment, and flips it back. Power button, wave-form, dial- the symbols ping recognition.

    Sonic hesitantly looks up, where Shadow has looked away, arms wrapped around himself, "Is uh, is this what I think it is?"

    Shadow fluffs his quills, shuffles, looks at Sonic sidelong, "I don't know, is it?"

    Sonic presses down on the power button.
