None of those beauties compare to Wriothesley’s scarred skin stretched tight over sculpted muscle. Exquisite. He is more finely crafted than any sculptor’s masterwork, more sublime than the hills of Elynas, closer to divine than any Archon Neuvillette has ever met, and he is a man. A mortal man.
Finding Wriothesley alone in the Pankration Ring one morning, Neuvillette shoots his shot.

“Oh,” Neuvillette says. His head turns. “Your Grace—”
And a whole bunch of things happen all at once, too many for Wriothesley to process. Neuvillette rises and the rest of his body follows his head. His hair swings away from his ass, and Wriothesley, who was just about to catch that loop of hair in his finger, finds that same loop drifting away from him. He can’t snatch his hand back fast enough, and his fingers brush the curve of Neuvillette’s ass.
Neuvillette freezes.
Wriothesley freezes.
The Melusines don’t freeze. They inhale as a collective, their tittering gasps filling the hall.
Wriothesley accidentally copping a feel on Neuvillette solves a decade of emotional and relationship turmoil.

Humming, Neuvillette looks out across the waterway.
Wriothesley smiles and gestures to their surroundings with his free hand. “We’re not in the Fortress now, are we?”
“No…” Neuvillette says slowly. The corners of his mouth slowly curve upward into a surprisingly soft smile. “No we are not.”
After the events of 4.1 and Neuvillette's story quest, Wriothesley decides to make his feelings known to Neuvillette. He finds that they are not only not unwelcome, but reciprocated. Their relationship blossoms against the backdrop of Fontaine's impending crisis.
