"No, Geralt," said Dandelion, seriously, "if you'd dreamt about Regis drinking your blood, that would be a metaphor. Not a very subtle one, or one I think Regis would much appreciate, but a metaphor nonetheless. But you don't need any special literary skill to interpret these sorts of dreams."
"Thank you, Dandelion," said Geralt. "You've been no help whatsoever."
"You're entirely welcome," the bard replied, unperturbed. He drummed his fingers on his lute thoughtfully. "Can you think of a good rhyme for 'denial'?"
Geralt was on the verge of reminding him about his promise regarding ballads before he spotted the trap and thought better of it.

Summary
Everyone at Kaer Morsels bakery thinks that Geralt is oblivious enough that he doesn't notice the way that Regis, one of their regular customers, flirts with him. That's not the case. Geralt notices, alright, and he likes it. Every time Regis walks in the door there's a little ball of warmth that appears in his belly and doesn't go away for hours afterwards. Geralt knows that Regis wants him, and he wants him right back. He just chooses to ignore it because there's no fucking way that's going to happen.
(featuring Tired Dad TM Geralt, patient sugardaddy Regis, meddling brothers everywhere, and a happy ending to the bakery trilogy that was only ever supposed to be a drabble, 50k words later)

Geralt found nothing but the burnt husk of the manor at the Garin Estate and no clue where von Everec might have gone. With a sigh, he turned Roach around and rode toward Holloway to discuss the contract in Toussaint.
His mood improved at seeing Sirs Palmerin de Launfal and Milton de Peyrac-Peyran. The long journey to Toussaint was made more pleasant by catching up with old friends. The duchy was as beautiful as he remembered. It was a land straight out of a fairy tale, though that impression did not last long.
