Maia is a drow cleric of Selune. Shadowheart is...Shadowheart. They are thrown together through fate: a crashing nautiloid, an astral prism, and a material plane that needs saving. Lots of adventures and religious conflict later, the two become something more than fated allies. Based on my playthrough of Baldur's Gate 3.

The people around her didn’t seem to care what she was inside. All they saw was a walking corpse.
And then she met Imogen.
AKA Laudna and Imogen meet and decide to travel together. My own theory on their first meeting. Can be read as romantic or platonic, I personally think they have SOMETHING going on but my s/o and I have been in a heated debate about this ever since c3 started.
