Alastor fell silent, his posture tensing for just a moment; he hadn't even turned to look at Vox, who stood behind him looking... absolutely defeated.
—Alastor, please... I’m begging you, answer me. —Vox’s voice was a fraying thread of emotion; his vision was blurring, and he felt like he was drowning.— Don't just stay silent like you always do; answer me, damn it... —He clenched his fists; it wasn't even anger he felt, but defeat, pain... emptiness.—
Alastor stood slightly hunched, gripping his cane tightly. He felt his smile waver; he could sense Vox's frequency, but the pride was gone—it felt more like a plea now.
—Don't you get it, Vox? No... you never did. I never cared about you. You never interested me. I never saw you as... —He swallowed hard— ...my partner.
Alastor straightened up, forcing his smile to remain clean and intact. He snapped his neck a full 180 degrees, the movement accompanied by a sharp *crack*. Vox didn't even flinch; he just stared into those deep black eyes that had transformed into radio dials.

Summary
Debido a una infancia marcada por normas religiosas extremas, Vincent percibe la fe como una poderosa herramienta de control. Su mayor inspiración y actual obsesión es el difunto locutor de radio y asesino en serie Alastor Hartfelt. Lo que más admira de él es la habilidad que demostró en vida para cautivar al público y, a la vez, ocultar su verdadera naturaleza.
Tras ciertos descubrimientos y con la esperanza de acelerar sus propios planes, Vincent decide seguir los pasos de Alastor y realizar un trato con un demonio. Las cosas se complican cuando descubre que la criatura que ha invocado es el mismo Alastor.
