I may have not been the most enthusiastic about another blind date, but at least I'm not accusing you of being paid to go out with me.” She scoffed, then narrowed her eyes. “You're not right? Because if you expect me to pay you at the end of the day you can leave now.”
No matter how hot this demon was, she wasn't about to be treated so callously. Later, she would tell herself he wasn't good in bed just to accept the disappointment better.
“Wait, you mean this isn't the first blind date they forced you into?”
“I wish, or better no – I wouldn't want to relive each of them,” she admitted, shivering at the thought.
“Oh, wow, and I thought I've been trapped, at least I'm not you. How many blind dates did you go to?” he asked, adjusting his forearms on the table and leaning towards her.

In a second, he crossed the hall, knocked and entered, all the while maintaining a furtive stance and an agitated expression on his face. He breathed a sigh of relief when he heard the sound of the lock turning, and only then did he turn towards the apartment’s sole occupant.
