Equilibrium is something that Venti Carmen-Dei never really cared about pursuing.
Because, why would he? Venti is the finest aerospace cadet that the Celestial Academy has seen in over a century. He is son to the legendary intergalactic pilots Istaroth and Decarabian, as well as current successor to Celestia’s presidential throne. He is a Dei, a descendant of the inaugural starborns. He’s obviously destined for greatness.
The last thing he needs is to blindly rely on some other cadet to pull their own weight in battle while not getting the both of them killed. Venti can watch his own back just fine.
His main focus right now is to graduate at the top of his class and secure his name as the Academy’s most promising cadet in history. But, his plans may be threatened by the arrival of a new earthborn cadet - one who is quickly winning the favour of the Academy, much to Venti’s dismay.
No, he’ll exceed his family name. All he needs to do is stay one step ahead of this new cadet. And, surely he’ll be able to prove himself during their cohorts’ first official mission - one which both of them are being assigned to - right?

"While none of us can talk about what they've done, Celestia isn't as… holy as you guys make it seem," Venti explained before looking at the Tsaritsa, "Though, I'm confused why you still need me. I thought you already got what you needed? That's why I let Signora take my gnosis."
"Unfortunately, that was only part of my scheme. I would explain the rest, but you understand how risky doing so would be. Therefore, I wished to gather all the Archons together to discuss it."
"So, you want me to join your revolution?"
After witnessing the tyranny of the Heavenly Principles, the Tsaritsa plans to overthrow Celestia and bring a new order to Teyvat. She unites her fellow Archons, including a very reluctant Venti. Little did he know by joining their revolution, he would unwittingly set in motion an ancient plot that he is at the center of.

Summary
When one of Xiao’s endless battles against the remnants of old gods leads to the slaughter of an innocent child, the guilty adeptus knows he must pay penance for his crimes. However, upon meeting with his Lord, ready and willing to be executed, Rex Lapis refuses to terminate their contract before its due time. Instead, he sends the yaksha to the Land of Dreams, where he is to spend a human lifetime hunting nightmares to atone.
Xiao expects it to be lonesome work, but then: enter Venti, a bard from Mondstadt whose dreams of a castle with a lighthouse by the sea somehow draw Xiao back to him time and time again. And while Xiao means only to spend the century executing his duty, Venti somehow manages to make their time spent together into something almost like a sweet dream.
Now if only Xiao would let him.

Xiao adverts his gaze and coughs pointedly into his very clenched fist. “I don’t need to know your name. Now, leave me alone.” Alright, so that was a little harsh, but in-character for Xiao, nonetheless. He has already surpassed his usual words-per-day anyway, and he isn’t one to treat someone differently because they’re kind of cute or radiant or whatever.
Still recovering from the pain of his past, loner Xiao meets Venti, an interesting stranger with a knack to make him blush. (Or! A mostly fluffy modern au).

Xiao is a weapon forged from red, carved from the hearts of weeping souls and etched into the memories of grieving mothers. While free under the care of a new God, he finds salvation, yet feels as trapped as the day the chains first clamped down onto his wrists.Venti is a God, one born from the wishes of others as opposed to his own. After losing his loved ones, he can't help but feel lost, high on a throne all alone, built upon all things he despised.
The two find each other by chance, yet the rest can only be described as fate.
