Summary
It's always there, like static in his mind, flashes of all the things he did back when he thought he'd never get out. He'd believed it so strongly, that whatever he gave into down there would never make it to the surface, and if it didn't make it to the surface, it wouldn't actually be real. He had bet on the fact that he'd never have to look Dean in the eyes again, never have to fall in love again, be touched again, have sex with someone he actually liked again.
