The soft light from the floor lamp bounces off her auburn curls, casts shadows on her cheek bones. Her face is alight with a brilliant smile. She is exquisite. Rhaenyra aches.
Laena clicks her fingers in front of Rhaenyra’s face, “Oy. Stop that. You can’t immediately go all moony looking at her when I’ve just told you off about it.”
“Apologies, Laena. I can’t really help it.” Rhaenyra mumbles into her drink. She is just drunk enough to be unfailingly honest.
“I know you can’t, you idiot. That’s my whole point. You can’t keep casually sleeping together if you have feelings for her.”
She’s right of course. But that doesn’t mean Rhaenyra is going to listen.

Who the fuck was this JAP dude and why hasn’t Ava heard about him before?
