After the Abyss ripped open, the sky turned to blood and the undead began to ravage the city, Marius and the infamous Golden Cobra escaped, Marius swearing himself to the Cobra for the rest of his days.
He didn't have time to thinks about what that had meant at the time, simply relaying the words the Cobra had said to him years ago "I'm your number one fan"
And, assuming Marius had the meaning and context correct, he was. He was Eric's number one fan. He wanted to be Erics number one, but maybe it was more than friendship he longed for, but he had taken vows.
Well... Marius guessed he already broke them for Eric, maybe he could do so again?

Summary
When Chase and Deacon find a mysterious book at the museum library, they assume it has something to do with Ex Libris. What they are not prepared for, however, are more mysteries than they can count—the circumstances surrounding the death of a kidnapped princess, Buddy’s adamant refusal to tell them anything about the story, and, strangest of all, some familiar faces… inside the pages of the book.
NOTES:
⚘ This fanfiction was written between Episode 41 and the Season 1/2 hiatus. Lore was incorporated as it was revealed in canon, however I also ensured the story stayed consistent.
⚘ KAPT revolves around the assumption that Buddy has been working for Ex Libris and going into books for the majority of his life. The plot was not created when there was anything in canon to prove differently.
⚘ The first chapter is somewhat disjointed from the remainder of the fic in terms of genre. The genre is Historical Fantasy.
⚘ All twelve keys are included in this fic with what we know of them from Season One.

During the final battle of Rise of the Titans, Douxie used too much magic, and fell into a coma while his body heals and his magic recovers. He wakes up five years later, the only person around is Krel, and he informs Douxie that Jim and Claire are getting married in 3 days... all the way across the country. He has 3 days to reunite with Archie, make it to that wedding, and maybe fall in love with Krel along the way.
Oh boy... he's gonna need a lot of coffee for this.
