Summary
Peter Parker can't wait to meet the newest superhero team to enter the scene: The Fantastic Four. More importantly, he can't wait to finally meet another superhero his age: 16-year-old Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch.
That is, until he does. And Johnny turns out to be a grade-A dick.
But maybe there's more to Johnny than Peter initially thought. Maybe he's not just an egotistical celebrity, or a short-tempered hothead, or an alarmingly pretty face who makes Peter's pulse race. Maybe they have more in common than they realize.
And maybe this feeling that overwhelms Spider-Man anytime Johnny is around isn't jealousy after all...

Summary
Peter Parker has finally settled into life in Gotham after being torn away from his own universe. He's found a home with Jason Todd and the rest of the Batfamily, but Bruce Wayne's death by Darkseid hits everyone hard, and the family starts to fall apart. When Tim Drake shows up with evidence that Bruce might still be alive, Peter, Jason, and Cass decide to help him search for Bruce, even if it means leaving their Opera home behind. Summary
There was a kid in his lab.
This would not be abnormal if not for One: The Kid was not wearing a badge, Two: The Kid was in a lab you had to swipe your badge to get into, a lab in which Shayne himself had never seen The Kid in before, and Three: The Kid seemed right at home shuffling through chemicals and was currently elbow deep in a ventilated cabinet full of volatile organic compounds. This meant one of two things.
One: The Kid was a highly skilled thief who managed to not only get past security in the lobby and make their way up to the 35th floor without tripping any alarms or caught by any number of personnel, but also managed to get past a very, very good security system to get into a random chemical lab to steal what appeared to be carbon tetrachloride, or-
Two: The Kid was permitted to be in the building and allowed to walk into any room without a badge.
Shayne was leaning toward the first option, personally, given the absolute and total unlikelihood of the second.
